If you are anything like me, sometimes you just need a quick, easy and possibly all ready to go breakfast. These two recipes are by far my favourite, go to meals when I’m rushing or being lazy in the morning. They both contain a good balance of carbs and proteins to get your day started off just right.
#1 ~ Overnight Oats
This one is a great multi day prep meal. Just make three or four, throw them in the fridge and BAM they are ready to go…no thought needed.
Ingredients needed:
Resealable container
1/4c quick oatmeal
1/4c milk (or milk of choice)
3/4c Greek yogurt
3/4c frozen fruit (I love cherries)
1 TBSP honey
Layer ingredients into your container starting with the oats. Seal and pop in the fridge. In the morning stir and eat. See super simple!
#2 ~ Salted Caramel Oats
This one you can either make cold or hot. For the sake of rushing I usually just make mine cold.
COLD version-
1/4c quick oats
1 scoop Quest Salted Carmel whey protein powder
3/4 Greek yogurt
A few splashes of coconut milk (or whatever you like) to mix
Add all the ingredients together stirring in the milk to your desired constancy.
HOT version-
Substitute the milk for hot water. Add your oats and protein powder and cover to steep the oats. Eliminate the yogurt.
Throw in some nuts in either for some healthy fats and some crunch.
